We all go through difficult patches in our lives, but sometimes we feel like we are alone going through such hardships. We may think that something is wrong with us; that what we are experiencing is not normal or that it should be experienced differently.

Sometimes we experience certain emotions or behave in certains ways that seem strange to us, without necessarily understanding the "why". At these times, we may hesitate to reveal ourselves to others out of fear or belief that our experience will be misinterpreted, judged or trivialized. It is not uncommon to feel the impulse to isolate, to anesthetize and to fight against ourselves when we feel like this, when deep down we need someone we can trust to explore and unravel what we are experiencing.

Too ofter, we feel like the pace of life is so fast we don't have time to get in touch with what we are going through and take prespective; and even less to do differently as the automatisms and patterns are so well rooted. It can cause us to gradually move away from ourselves, from others, and from the life we want to live.

Hence the importance of taking time and space for ourselves. Psychotherapy can be one of these spaces to do so.

A time and a space for you to ground yourself, to get to know yourself better, to become acquainted with your inner world, to connect with yourself and with the life that you want to live... to do differently.
