Fika Virtual Psychology Clinic

Online Psychotherapy - in French and in English

We all encounter difficulties at different points in our lives. Yet there are times when we may feel alone in what we are going through—as though something is wrong with us; as though our experience is not normal or should somehow be different.

We may also find ourselves feeling emotions or engaging in behaviors that seem unfamiliar or confusing, without fully understanding why. In these moments, we can hesitate to open up to others, fearing that our experience will be misunderstood, judged, or minimized. It is not uncommon to feel the urge to withdraw, to numb ourselves, or even to struggle against ourselves when we feel this way... when, deep down, what we may need most is a trusted person with whom we can explore and make sense of what we are living through.

Too often, the pace of life moves so quickly that we lose touch with our lived experience. We lack the time and space to step back, to listen to ourselves, or to do anything other than repeat the habits and coping strategies we have learned to rely on—sometimes without even realizing it. Over time, this can lead us to feel disconnected from ourselves, from others, and from the life we long to inhabit more fully.

This is why it can be so important to create time and space for yourself. Psychotherapy can be one such space.

  • A space to slow down.
  • To pause and settle.
    To deepen self-understanding.
    To explore and become acquainted with your inner world.
    To reconnect with yourself, with others, and with the life you wish to create.
  • And perhaps, to begin to do differently.
Fika
Rooted in the Swedish tradition of Fika, it is an invitation to slow down, step out of the rush of everyday life, savor the present moment, restore yourself, and connect with others—all over a good cup of coffee.

We offer 50-minute online psychotherapy sessions for adults (18 years and older) residing in Quebec.

Our goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you can settle in at your own rhythm, gain a deeper understanding of what you are experiencing, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

Therapeutic Approaches

Our psychologists are members of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec and use recognized, evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Their practice is grounded primarily in a humanistic-existential approach and also integrates elements from other therapeutic modalities in order to provide support that is tailored to your unique circumstances and needs, including:

  • - Psychodynamic therapy;
  • - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT);
  • - Mindfulness-based approaches.

Because each therapeutic journey is unique, we place great importance on creating a therapeutic space characterized by trust, collaboration, and compassion.

Plateform and Process

We believe that a safe therapeutic space also begins with an experience that is simple, accessible, and supportive.

For this reason, we use a secure platform that allows you to:

  • - Book appointments online
  • - Receive automated email and/or text message reminders
  • - Easily access your virtual sessions
  • - Access your professional receipts at any time for insurance reimbursement or income tax purposes.

Our intention is to make the process as seamless as possible so that you can focus on what matters most: your therapeutic journey and your well-being.
